Service Alert: Google Chrome Update affecting Silent Printing
A recent Google Chrome update has changed how the browser interacts with local hardware to comply with new government security regulations. This change specifically impacts QZ Tray connectivity and the Silent Print function within Helm.
If you are unable to see your printers or if silent printing has stopped working, please follow these steps:
Click the Site Controls icon (the two circles and lines) to the left of the URL in your address bar.
Select Site settings from the menu.
Locate the Apps on device permission.
Change the setting from Ask (default) to Allow.
Refresh your Helm browser tab.
This is a one-time configuration required by Google to allow Helm to securely communicate with your local printer drivers. Once set to Allow, your automated printing workflow will return to normal.
